Weekly update 1st February
Saturday saw a nearly all the clubs fixtures snowed off. Only the Men's 2s who won 2-1 away at Old Southendians to move into second place in 2S and the ladies 4s who lost away at Blueharts beat the weather.

The Australia Day celebrations on Saturday night were a big success. Thanks to all who supported the event.
Next social is the Blues Night on 8th March. See Colin Harker for tickets. This event is always over subscribed so get your booking in NOW!
This years end of season dinner will be held on 26th March at "The Ash" in Burton End. Full marquee with dinner, bar and music to toast our successes this season. Tickets on sale soon.
Pippa Bull and Karen Jones are running the London Marathon on 25th April in aid of the Charity IT4Children in hospital. They would really appreciate your support in helping raise 2.5k. To get them started we have organised a quiz night on 5th February at the Club House 7.30. Colin has done the hard work preparing the questions so it promises to be the usual high standard!!! Please come and join us, we need teams of 6 and cost is £10 ahead which includes supper. Please let us know if you are entering a team asap so we can organise numbers. Look forward to seeing you on 5th. You can also sponsor them on the Virgin money giving website www.virginmoneygiving.com . Just type their names in under Make a donation, sponsor a friend and donate.
*Training - Reminder *
Tuesday night is Club Training night for the men’s section (13 years old and above) and now that the league programme has started training is going full swing with record attendances. All club members, of whatever standard, are welcome to come along for the Club session which runs from 7pm - 8.30pm. This is ostensibly for players in 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th teams. For those who cannot be there at the start they can be accommodated upon arrival, as and when they are ready.
There is a separate training session which runs from 8.00 - 9.45pm which is for the 1st & 2nd X1 men’s squads with additional specific invitees.
Ladies training is on Wednesday evening - all welcome (13 years old and above) at 7:30 @ Hockerill College with Tyson Schubert- all standards, Ladies 1s & 2s training at 7:30 to 9:30 with Dan Leonard (by invitation only).
Supporters are welcome with free admission for home league games. We are always looking for new players to join our very social, Clubs 1st accredited, club. Anyone looking to join, can contact Andy Webster our membership secretary on 01279 815445 or at bshcwebmaster@gmail.com.
